Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya did not have the easiest time on 90 Day Fiancé season 8, leaving fans to wonder what they're up to now. The bickering couple had viewers split over whether or not they would make it down the aisle after a season of drama and issues for the Ukrainian and American pair. Jovi demonstrated himself to be unable to grow up and shed his hard-partying image, which included visits to his beloved strip club. That left a stressed-out and pregnant Yara torn over what her next move should be.

Though viewers saw the couple receive their happy ending in the season finale and subsequent special episode, the events depicted happened several years ago. The season finale saw Jovi and Yara saying "I do" in Las Vegas complete with an Elvis impersonator. The couple had cold feet up until the very last minute, though they decided to tie the knot. Though Jovi continued to stay out late partying and drinking while pregnant Yara remained at home, he appeared to take their daughter's birth seriously. Fans hoped that Jovi and Yara would develop a successful and evolved relationship. After season 8, Jovi and Yara appeared in 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? season 6, where their lives as new parents were highlighted.

Jovi and Yara continued to have the same problems about Yara feeling alone because of Jovi's demanding job. However, they showcased their ability to work together to raise Mylah when she was a little baby. They were still living around the New Orleans area with their then-seven-month-old daughter, Mylah Angelina. The couple has stated that they have no plans for baby number two anytime soon, as baby Mylah is currently taking all of their attention.

Jovi also admitted that he got a job offer closer to home in Louisiana, but he turned it down because he liked his on-and-off schedule despite Yara's many complaints about it.
